A lot of travel and conference presentations for our team coming up so a short update. Jen, Adam and Stephen were honoured to be a finalist in the Eureka prize for infectious diseases recently – see video clip here of our pitch and red-carpet photos below! We applied together with Miles Davenport, Deborah Cromer and David Khoury at the Kirby Institute – we’ve been so grateful for their insights into our studies and our collaborative work – we have some 20 publications with their group in recent years – including a nice recent one from Wen Shi in Science Advances – see our publication page here for updates. Our other close collaborators, Katherine Kedzierska, Oanh Nyugen and Louise Rowntree won the award which was great to see.

We had a wonderful lab retreat at Marysville recently with Amy Chung’s group also – great to hear presentations from everyone, (students, RA’s, project managers, postdocs, lab heads!) and enjoy a bracing walk to the falls. We had A/Prof Steve Rockman from CSL/Seqirus as a guest who had plenty of insightful comments and advice. The annual tip packing competition was hotly contested. Some photos below.
